Our garlic should be stored at room temperature in a well-ventilated location. It should be stored out or direct sunlight and away from potatoes. Elephant garlic will store for up to 12 months at the right conditions. Glen Large garlic is best consumed by April of the season that it was harvested in. If your garlic cloves start to send up green shoots it is either time to eat them all or plant them in the ground.
So-called ‘green’ garlic is garlic that has just been harvested and not cured and should be stored in the refrigerator.
